Backyard makeover reveal

Completing our backyard has been a 9 month work-in-progress.  Last October we started by ripping out half of the back corner of our backyard (trees, wildflowers, shrubs, etc.).  You can read everything we did this past spring/early summer in this post.  Now the grass is completely grown in, and our backyard looks twice the size that it was when we moved in (well, the grass area is twice the size now)!

Our backyard still has the grapevine trellis and wildflowers, which we love love love.
Our garden was off to a slow start this year due to the excessive amount of shade it's under, but Weston cut down a bunch of branches and now we have steady growth.  We've already made salsa with our first jalepeno harvest, and our tomatoes are turning red!  Even if we only get a little food from our garden this year we'll consider it a first-year success.

As you can see below, the grass is in!  This fall we have some weed-management to do with the new grass, but for now our backyard is complete. *Happy Dance*

And, these little purple pretties decided to showcase themselves just this past week on our grape vines. It's amazing all the new color and pretties that are constantly popping up all over.  Our grapes are growing, so we are going to need to research asap how we can use them (wine please?).
